River Unit
Headquartered in Paducah, Kentucky, the epicenter of the commercial river industry, Marquette Transportation’s River unit services the Upper and Lower Mississippi, Illinois and Ohio rivers. With a fleet of 50 line haul vessels ranging from 4000 to 9000 class horsepower and more than 800 dry cargo barges, Marquette’s River unit transports agricultural, mineral, rock and liquid products for some of the nation’s largest agribusinesses and industries. We also offer specialized transportation services for oversized commodities and commerce, such as oilfield, power generating and military equipment, and casino riverboats.
Marquette’s River fleet is one of the newest on the western rivers and fully compliant with all USCG requirements.
